Moving toward greater resilience and sustainable progress requires the on-going development and nurturing of relationships among individuals and organizations across sectors and boundaries. With the right framework, including the development of shared goals, measurements to track change and continuously improve, mutually reinforcing activities, and communication, communities can realize meaningful change in the areas that are important to all.
Philanthropy plays a critical role in supporting a community or region’s long-term sustainability and ability to solve societies biggest problems. It comes in all shapes in sizes. Sharing assets, developing resources, brokering strong partnerships, and capacity-building are some of the ways in which Philanthropy is a strategic tool in our region’s toolbox for change-making.
