And It’s a Wrap….

The Faces of Philanthropy Photo Art Exhibit has wrapped up and those featured in the photos were invited to a reception on October 11 to celebrate our 40 years of philanthropy and giving to the community.  Their photos were removed from the wall and wrapped in paper for them to take home.

The Faces of Philanthropy campaign continues with more print ads and billboards throughout the community, but the exhibit is being taken down to make room for the upcoming “Wide Open Spaces” art exhibit opening November 4.

“We are going to miss our donors and friends who have been on our walls all summer,” said Carolyn Rogers, VP of development and communications for the Foundation.  But we look forward to seeing them all in person this coming season.

The Southwest Florida Community Foundation, founded in 1976, cultivates regional change for the common good through collective leadership, social innovation and philanthropy to address the evolving community needs in Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades counties. Last year, the Foundation partnered with individuals, families and corporations who have created over 400 philanthropic funds.  Thanks to them, we’ve invested $5 million in grants and programs to the community.  With assets of more than $93 million, the Community Foundation has provided more than $67 million in grants and scholarships to the communities it serves since inception. The Foundation is the backbone organization for the regional FutureMakers Coalition and Lee County’s Sustainability Plan.
